OUR STORY

2008

Signa’s first activity was Tumkur in 2008 by conducting an awareness programme with a small group of students. We started this initiative when we were college students, after having worked with various groups in Karnataka on issues related to climate change and social equality. After this initial step, we felt the strong need to establish a youth organisation based in Tumkur and thus SIGNA came into existence.

SIGNA, established on December 13, 2008, with the intention of building new perspectives among the youth to create an atmosphere of social equality, gender justice, respect for eco-friendly lifestyles and rebellious opposition against all forms of injustice.
