​Raghu BR’s relationship with Signa is personal and unique. In his own words he would like to share his thoughts-“One day they came to our college in the year 2011 and showed us a documentary on ‘Gundla project’ and a discussion was held around it for us to speak up and invited me to the organization office. Thus, began my journey with Signa. The emotions in me which were many and clouded were slowly given a direction and channelized towards building a society, which is pro- people and life. It helped me realize my leadership qualities, work spiritedly in greening our land, respond to the concerns for farmers issues and shape me as a simple, common man who will respond to the pains and joys of the society. Signa through its many activities taught me hone my skill in writing articles/reports to newspapers, public speaking, articulating one’s thoughts, using computers for communication. I met many leaders who have respected and worked for preserving the plurality in our society through my association with Signa. It is with pleasure and a matter of pride that I took part in and played an active role in the campaigns and activities on tree plantation, education for the youth, clean-Tumukur. I express my gratitude to this organization for exposing me to a new world and having my back in this socio-ecological endeavor of mine. Right now I am working with the government system and I believe this experience of mine over here will add richness in my work”.
